So,, I have tried to use SSD's and in the fear of my computer being damaged I have halted this project. I have multiple SSD's and I tried one and it didn't work and I couldn't find out what was wrong with it. I went on to use another one (This is a 16gig version) and upon plugging everything in and the sata cable I saw a blue light! Amazing, I thought it would work. But to my confusion my computer still doesn't see it? I don't know why.. It seems like all would be working considering this blue light indicating that the data is working? How would I go about fixing this. I don't believe its the SSD considering the blue light. But could someone help me with this? I read just skimmed a article before entering this forum and it mentioned something about BIOS settings. Would this be of any help for me? Thanks for the help!

can you list all of your SSDs

also

1. the rest of your computer specs

2. which windows are you running?

3. have you tried using Disk Management in windows? does the new drive show up there?

@mok Well, Funny thing is I left my PC for a bit came back and tried a that drive. It didn't work then I thought Ill just look at my Bios and I did and my PC took longer than usual to start up. I was really nervous the whole time and then it read that SSD I was excited and I installed the 120gig SSD and now its working. But now I have allocated space that I cant seem to find out how to apply to the new SSD.. Ill include a screenshot down below. Just to verify,, Im trying to combine the two unalocated sets of storage into the 120SSD partition.Screenshot_5.png.f341d51d78afa408daf7f76c18bdfc80.png

oh damn, this has happened to me before with flash drives

good news is that nothing is broken - just a formatting error - this is fixable

its been some time since ive dealt with this issue - but from what i remember i had to reformat that "healthy" partition to completely wipe it - and only then could i merge all three unallocated volumes into one single partition.

is the healthy partition empty? or is there data on it? is that where windows is installed?
