I have an r9270x it's plugged in fans spinning  but no post from the mother board at all. But when I unplug the card I get a post. I'm confused pls halp ;-;. 

My build 

Idk the mobile exactly but it's a lga 775 socket

6gb ddr3

Evga 80 white certified psu 500 watt

A core2quad 

Some hard drives that's it.

Sounds like you have onboard video? Perhaps that's conflicting with the PCIe video card?

Or, did you not give the video card the power it needs? Forget to plug in the 4 or 6 pin power connector?

Try booting with all chassis fans and HDDs unplugged, but the GPU in. If that doesn't work check for dust, and if you can borrow another PSU and try it out. Also, have you tried plugging in speakers to check for a POST beep? Try clearing the CMOS too.

This same thing happened to me when i used PCI power extensions, make sure they're securely connected if you have them. Failing thattry and get a different PSU.
