a while back i purchased a Asus Strix audio card for my gaming PC. when i installed it, their was an audio output but the audio timing to frames were off by a considerable amount during cut scenes and not as much during game play. In addition to this, the audio would just cut sometimes and then come back on with not fair warning, and the cutting was not very periodic from what i remember. when the most current update was installed i didn't notice a difference in performance or a lack of cutting. i am using Windows 10 and the card was described to be able to be used on windows 10. I'm wondering if the drivers need Adobe or even Java to make them run smoother or if those are really necessary to make the drivers run. in rare cases the computer would crash on start up or during updates when the driver was installed but once i uninstalled it from my computer, the lagging and crashed stopped. i purchased the card in hopes it would take miner stress of the graphics card to allow max performance but so far it is turning out to be a bigger headache and wast of $100 than it is a benefit. if nothing else now i just want it to work so i didn't waste my money on it.

i used to have an issue with sound like that it was because my pci-e slot was going in power saving mode due to a power saving mode enabled in the bios :S ( was turned on by defualt :S )

also it can be ur windows timing :v

how did you fix this? is this just a computer setting or is it very specific to the bios settings?

nevermind i found it in the online manual

for my board it was

DMI Link ASPM Control [Auto]
Allows you to enable or disable the control of Active State Power Management on SA
side of the DMI Link.
Configuration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [L0s] [L1] [L0sL1]
PEG - ASPM [Disabled]
Allows you to control ASPM support for the PEG device.
Configuration options: [Disabled] [Auto] [ASPM L0s] [ASPM L1] [ASPM L0sL1]

i set dmi link aspm control to disabled :) on the lane i had my soundcard

ASRock z97 extreme6

not sure if this but

Package C State Support
Enable CPU, PCIe, Memory, Graphics C State Support for power saving.

at cpu  configuration

since it mentions PCIe  it might be connected to this one with asrock

( still checking around :v )

It was originally turned off but I just turned it on to see if that may help my situation

it seems i was able to get the card to work with ought cutting. unsure what the fix was but i did everything that could have been wrong and have no cutting or latency problems that i have been able to notice.
