After the Fall Creators update, my desktop started acting weird. First off, Ghost Recon Wildlands. I can't play ultrawide anymore: if I set 2560x1080, it scales so badly that a full third of the game screen is outside my central monitor, not even showing on the side monitor (my config is 16-21-16 :9). I checked game files and nothing changed, I tried using full panel scaling, center scaling and other stuff the Radeon software let me do. Still nothing. It works perfectly at 1920x1080 btw

Second, I tried Elite: Dangerous. This time I can play 2560x1080, but at every menu change (like when I click on "options") the display goes black as if was resetting resolution. I even saw an "out of range" warning for a split second, and tried going back to 60Hz (was on 75, but never had problems before the update). Same problem.

Same thing was happening with Wildlands, screen resetting at every click.

I checked if the HDMI cable was loose, but nope.

Does anybody know what the hell is going on? please don't tell me I have to reinstall windows, I got a shitload of stuff installed and can't bare going throu it all another time (yeah I have backups, daily)

EDIT: now if E:D is focused, screen goes black (black like in off). if I click on the browser, it comes back up. what the hell

can you proceed as normal in fullscreen windowed mode?

both borderless and fullscreen give the same problems in both games (only pubg works, haven't tested other games)

have you tried pressing Alt-enter whenever it's acting up?

edit: by that I mean after you click and it goes smaller

in E:D nothing happens, in Wildlands, it goes to windowed mode (2560x1080 windowed) but still missing a third of game screen on the right. sooo I'd say nothing changes

Try finding the .exes of all the games affected, right clicking on properties>compatibility>run in compatibility mode

nope, still nothing. I even tried rolling back to the latest non-optional driver for my gpu, still nothing

small update: somehow, now E:D works fine but Wildlands still has problems with ultrawide. boobisoft knows how to make a game, right?
