Which One. The first 2 go on sale a lot so I could probably snag it for like 110. The first 2 are the better ones but are they worth the extra money. What I love about the g.skill is because of the audio and usb pass through. But the corsair has more lighting effect and a smaller footprint.

What are you looking for out of this keyboard (and why)? Given the variety of different switches here, have you tried any mechanical switches in real life and decided which one is your favorite (or if you prefer them over membrane)?

Brown and Blue are favorite. I cant decide over them. Im doing mostly gaming and school work. I tried them at microcenter but I didnt feel much of a tactile click. They felt like membrane so I just assumed that they werent real mechanical so people wouldnt pull out the switches. Maybe if I tried them side by side with membrane I would notice.

If you´re open for suggestions, you may want to look at the keyboards from Kingtop.

I have the "normal" one (not the gaming version) here, and it is the first keyboard ever that can replace the IBM Model M I´ve been using for over 20 years.  This is the highest compliment that could possibly be given for any keyboard.

Of course, you wouldn´t say that if you don´t like the switches they use :)  To me, the MX switches are almost the worst you can find.

I only found 1 of their keyboards. And the logo on it is the same as the one on the z-88. I think certain companys just copy certain models. The logo looks like an eagle

So essentially you're buying on a hunch?

Would probably go with the E-element board, then. If you don't need the numpad the E-element Z77 RGB TKL is cheaper and has better build quality than the Corsair and G-skill (haven't tried the Bloody so no comment, though I don't expect it to be better). Hot-swappable switches means you can upgrade it to Outemu Purples in the future if you want good tactiles (these are more similar to Zealios than Browns; a big step up over standard Cherry browns). Or stick with Outemu Blues; they're better than Cherry's blues IMO.

If you're after desk jewelry (lighting, looks) more than functionality (being a keyboard), also consider that almost any mechanical Logitech/Razer/Cooler Master/Corsair keyboard can share lighting effects thanks to Project Aurora. With that in mind Cooler Master's Masterkeys is around the same price as the Corsair boards but much higher quality, or if you like Romer-G switches (big if), Logitech's boards are well built and have better lighting than any Cherry board thanks to their transparent switch stem design.

Maybe there´s some rebranding going on.  The logo on mine doesn´t look like an eagle, it´s a rectangle with a dot that has two angles in it and "KINGTOP" written underneath the dot.

Here´s the gaming version: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-KingTop-Anti-Ghosting-Backlit/dp/B01MEGWZIA/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1508692015&sr=8-18&keywords=kingtop

You can also get in gold colour.

Here´s the normal one: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=kingtop+keyboard

Wow, the gaming version has gone in price.  Maybe I´ll buy one, you can´t go wrong for that price.

With the one I have, I´m even happy with the build quality.  There´s nothing to complain about.  (I haven´t tried the armrest because I don´t like those.)

Best Buy, Fry's. If you have a public university nearby there's a decent chance their surplus store will have some vintage keyboards (some better-feeling than any MX or MX clone IMO) dirt cheap. Microcenter's display models should be mechanical, which is why I'm skeptical that the upgrade would be significant for you.

Switch type would affect which keyboard I would recommend. Essentially though, if you want an MX style switch with programmable RGB then Cooler Master Masterkeys. If you're fine with basic RGB effects and are looking for a tactile or clicky, E-element Z-77 with switch replacements.

Kingtop is a Chinese distributor, the keyboard is a rebranded E-element X7000.

I´d recommend Kingtop.  There´s probably no way to get better quality than that for the money.

EDIT:

Oh I didn´t know it´s rebranded.  Doesn´t matter to me, I only need a keyboard that works (gaming versions are somtimes incompatible) and is excellent to type on.)

I agree, E-element is great quality and a great value. Outemu Blues are also the most Alps-like of the MX-style blues which is a big plus for me.

Alps where the ones used in Dell Bigfoots?  I bought one to have a decent keyboard at work.

I have a Zowie here that has MX Blue, and I can´t type on that at all.  I mistype like two or three times in every word on that.

MX Blues are very imprecise and mushy, and I don´t see them providing any tactile feedback as they supposedly do.  Their other colours must be even worse than that ...

Bigfoots should have Alps. Personally I like light tactility more than clickies; the issue for me is more smooth sharp bump vs rough drawn-out one. The click on vintage switches (usually) tends to be so much cleaner than the MX leaf style.

I´m not sure how much the clicking matters; the tactile feedback is probably more important to me.  I like the solid, unrelenting feeling of this Kingtop board very much.  This is different from any other keyboard I´ve ever tried and probably due to the metal plate on top sitting on a very shallow plastic bottom part (I wish that was metal, too).  Keyboards with plastic stuff holding the keys in place always give in a little on every keypress, probably because the plastic isn´t all that sturdy.  This one doesn´t give in, as if the keys were sitting right on the desk with nothing in between.  For me, that´s the way it should be.
