Problems after purchasing GTX 1080

Years back i purchased a pre-built pc (specs: https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c04383423).

A couple of days ago i decided to upgrade my gtx 770 to a gtx 1080, but after installing it ive been getting mouse lag and keyboard lag in most of my games, worst in overwatch, gtav and tf2.

My guess is that the 1080 is being bottle necked by the cpu

it can be an issue with HPET because of a cpu bottleneck now

 

enable hpet in ur bios + windows to set it to ur mobo rather then CPU based

 

go to cmd admin

 

bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

 

make sure its enabled in the bios too

 

if hpet is set to the cpu it can cause input lag when bottlenecked by the cpu x)

 

hwoever even if hpet fixes the input lag that cpu is bottlenecking the gpu quite abit
