Hi so i have been having this problem for quite some time now and its driving me nuts im currently on windows version 14393 and the latest version is 16299 so a fair bit out of date.

Every single time i try to install the latest update or any update that is newer then my current version it dose the normal reboot apply update to 30% reboot again.

But instead of finishing installing the update i get what looks like a command promt pop up for like a split second.

Then it goes back to the spinny wheel boot window but with the text Reverting back to previous version of windows and reverts back to the old version.

I have no idea how to fix this and its driving me crazy and when i look in the update history tab i see no failed updates in fact i see this.

Showing that i succsefully installed version 1607 of windows 10 but when i open up the windows update assistant it tells me this PAw1m6F.png

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as i don't really feel like reinstalling windows from scratch if i can avoid it
