I have been looking for a case to do a custom loop in for quite some time now. I've concluded that I either have to mod a case or go for something like caselabs to get what I want. If I'm going with the 900D from Corsair then I want to replace the whole front panel including the 5,25" bays with a metal mesh or something. Maybe similar to the mesh on top of the case.

Would love to hear some opinions on this and suggestions on how to actually do it.

if that full size front panel had holes in it all the way to the top it would have been perfect, thanks for the suggestions

and alternative:
leave the front panel as is with no modification

you could cut a hole behind the front panel where the 5.25inch bays are to mimic the size of the bottom basement panel

so cut a rectangle slightly smaller in dimension to this dust filter and then use this official corsair part

i believe its the same spacing
