Logitech G27/G29 problems

I have both a Logitech G27 and Logitech G29. With both wheels whenever the pedals are plugged in (Rs232 connector) my computer makes the disconnect noise and my wheels turns off. I have had my G27 for 3 years and my G29 for 3 months and only started getting this problem now.

 

I'm thinking its maybe more to do with my computer since it is happening on both wheels.

 

Anybody got any solutions/ things I could try to fix it?
