Note8 Hax

TheCheese

Just got my Note 8 and I noticed that it has an OTG cable for USB-A and I have seen YouTubers hooking up their phones to Hard-drives etc... could I

a - Make a makeshift Dex where I mirror the screen using wifi and connect the Note 8 to a usb hub with a keyboard and mouse and maybe a hard drive/SSD(?)

b - Connect up a hard-drive/SSD and use that to offload data onto it without compromising anything

But more importantly could I make this a makeshift dex with a usb hub and mirror my screen onto my TV or possibly use an adapter?

In my experience most phones can't supply enough power to connect to an external HDD

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
