my new pc build is getting bsod so I ran a memtest and I got a few hundred errors. noticed my bios was out of date so I updated it tot the latest version ran memtest again and still got errors. so I tried to isolate it by testing each individual ram stick and they both got errors individually and on all 4 dim slots so I'm confused now. I went into the system manager and checked all the drives for updates manually and found that a couple of the chipsets needed updating so I did all of them reset computer and re ran memtest still getting errors but I'm not getting bsod anymore. so do you think I got two bad rams or could it be something else. I have left all setting in bios default. nothing is overclocked. my build is i7700kcpu, 650watt evga psu, asus strix gtx1080ti gpu, nzxt 62 cpu cooler, and 2 x8gb gskill trident z 3200 rgb ram

Seems slightly unlikely both sticks are bad but possible. Run Windows memory diagnostic on them as well and see if you get the same results.

You're not using an extremely old version of memtest are you? Just trying to roll out things out.

If I remember, when you boot to it there should be a version at the top. I would get a new one that supports the new ddr4 memory and controllers.
