what country are you in? A HDD (Hard Drive) is solid platters spinning and that is slow. SSD's (Solid State Drive) are like usbs. they consist of chips that are solid and dont spin. M.2 is a connector that allows the ssd and the computer to talk. Some connectors are faster than others

Well I'm trying to get into pc builds and every thing but I never really had time to and i wasn't really interested in when I was younger I just started getting interested in a few weeks back

I want to make a build that has the mid tower 2016 raidmax ninja II pc case that has a mdot 2 ssd that way I can play games fast but the problem is....well I don't know what parts I should look for and I want to paint the case from a metallic orange to a matte black but I don't know where to start ....

M.2 ssd's are only really used for fast boot and file transfer times. They wont make your games run/play faster but they will load faster. Many people including me only use HDD's for games because they are cheap and are perfect for storing games. I think it is not worth the extra price just for the load time to be a couple seconds shorter. FPS and the details in the game and how good the game looks has to do with the CPU and the GPU

Its good that you are getting into Pc's. Building and modding pcs is a good thing to do in your spare time

HDD (Hard disk drive)= mass storage for games

SSD (Solid state drive)= storing the OS and is the main boot drive, and also some other miscellaneous programs

You still need the hard drive (1TB) for mass storage of your games and then get a 120GB SSD for your boot drive, this will store your OS and some other miscellaneous programs

the 1080 being better means absolutely nothing if he cannot afford it.

it does. if $1000 is his budget, then it's his budget. otherwise he would have said $1100
