wire PSU Wire Thickness

Hi everyone,

 

I'm a newbie to modding, decided to make my own cables (8+6 pcie, 24+8 atx).

I bought the wrong wire because I didn't do my math right (22 AWG), and that's obviously not enough.

 

I have a lot of 1.5mm2 (15.4 AWG) wire laying around elsewhere, will that work fine?

Asking because from what I read most PSU's use 18 AWG wire.

1,5mm2 will be fine since its thicker then AWG18 what kind of wire is that?

Tought so even though he didnt specify it, the easy way out(and safe) would be to just get some extensions.

I want to personalize by build as much as possible, just because it feels rewarding  Not just the cables, but it's about spending the time on them.

I will test my cables on my old pc obviously.

It says "OZGUVEN KABLO BS EN 50525-3-41 450/750 V H07Z-X 1X1.5mm2" on the cable, I have like 2km spare of it, it's all I know about it.
