need some help

Not so long ago my monitor samsung Syncmaster 940n refused to properly functioning, (one of the board component failed) . So I could throw it away, or fix by replacing components, unfortunatelly I could not find the same monitor for parts so I have used LG L222W instead. Everything worked out instead  display adaptation, there is presence of more place, but I just don't see it due to resolution and size differences(samsung monitor is 19inch and  LG is 22inch). My pc sees LG monitor which is 22inch but it is in samsung 19 inch display, so my mouse cursor can go behing the right and bottom display boundaries. I doubt that I would be able to find solution through OS display settings, perhabs some applications could help me, but my attempts to find these applications gone in vain, so I'm asking for help to find a way to solve my troubles..

PS. I'm using windows 7
