I’m in the process of building my pc and I’m not sure which cables to use for for my EVGA G3 650W fully modular. My build is rocking a

which cables do I need to plug into the PSU? Also... what’s the perif cable?

you need a 24 pin, 4+4 pin EPS, (both to the motherboard), two PCIe powercables for the GPU, and then a sata powerplug for the SSD. I am not sure if that case also needs power for a fancontroller or something, but that is optional anyway, you can power the fans through the motherboard.

the cables in the case are front panel connectors, they connect to the motherboard in various places, you should look in the manual.

What is an EPS? I don’t see anything labeled that

When looking at videos nobody really has them, should I take them out?

No?????

If they are your front panel connectors, they are needed for your case USB slots and power/reset buttons to work. rtfm

I edit my posts a lot.

I have a question. I’m trying to install my SSD but my SATA cable doesn’t have the extra power connector, on the Samsung SSD a there is 2 different plug ins, one big and one small, and I only have the big one

The big one is power, the small one is data. You plug the big one into your PSU, and the small one needs to plug in to your motherboard. Your motherboard probably came with a SATA data cable.

You use the cables that plug into the things you need powered. For your NZXT S340 you will need to plug in nothing from the PSU to power the case itself. You'll plug the case fans into your motherboard which has lots of fan headers for such a thing.

Your 24-pin cable will be mandatory, your 4+4 pin cable will plug into your motherboard like the 24-pin, then two 6+2 pins for your 1080 (minus the +2 on one of them since your card has a 6+8 layout), one SATA Perif cable for your SSD, and the rest should figure itself out. The cables in the S340 all plug into your motherboard.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Do you not actually have the parts in front of you or something?  Because that's what it seems like.  You should look at what you're building in front  of you before asking these questions in order to save some face.

There's a 24-pin connector on the motherboard.  There's a cable with a 24-pin connector on the PSU.  *click*

There's an 8-pin connector on the motherboard.  There's a cable with 8-pins on the PSU.  It may be a solid 8 or it may be 4+4, but click it in.  If it goes in without breaking it, you're good.  Next step.....
