Is there anyway I can activate AC3 and AC4 on my steam account to origin? I was successful in activating my steam Crysis and Crysis 2 keys on origin. Can I do the same for AC3 and AC4? Uplay is really annoying....

Going to have to ask Steam/Origin support if they can do that for you then, it depends if they segregate those keys I think.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Steam doesn't have game codes for Origin, and vice-versa.

I am willing to bet you got the Crysis and Crysis 2 keys from the Humble Bundle package. Well the package came with game codes for the games on Steam and/or Origin, so NO, each is meant to work with that specific client. You may or may not be able to get an Origin code if you contact Ubisoft support (not Steam/Origin support) give the the Steam key, and after they check it's still valid, they would remove it from their index (and generate another code) then give you an Origin code.

Would they actually offer you such service? Probably not, but if there is a way to do it, then this is it.

Nope I did not get the humble bundle package. I bought the codes right off of steam and activated on my EA account which proceeded to move itself to origin.

Well I meant if you got a code from a third party to ACTIVATE in Steam that sometimes works in Origin and vice versa if they don't bother to make seperated keys.

Here's the deal. Game keys are not generated by the developer. They are generated by the distributor of the game that owns the distribution clients (so Valve Corp. and EA through Origin and Steam)

However, if the distributor of the game is also the maker of it, the original distributor can generate game codes than not only work with his game client, but the clients of others.

After re-reading the first post, I knew why you were able to do that with Crysis.

The Crysis series is developed by EA, which owns Origin. The game codes for it are generated by EA, but EA has also gave some of these codes (which work first of all works with Origin) to Valve Corp. whom will distribute them through Steam (so now the codes work with both Origin and Steam)

The reason EA does this is to reach a wider audience. It's a Win-Win situation; EA sales more of their games through Steam and makes more money, Valve Corp. gets a cut of the sales and makes more money.

The Assassin Creed series however is NOT developed by EA. They are developed by Ubisoft. Ubisoft made a deal with EA and Valve Corp. so that each can distribute the game through their own clients. So the game codes generated work with 1 client only.

Whic doesn't mean in any way shape or form that Ubisoft bothers to make keys client specific. If you buy them in the client it's instantly attributed to that account anyway. Meaning if you bought one on say, Greenmangaming, it's entirely possible it works on either. I wouldn't even care if I was Ubisoft.

I'm sorry but that just made no sense at all, I mean I couldn't even understand what you're saying beyond the first sentence (which is wrong)

Again, for the millionth time, the maker of the game is not the one that generates game keys for Steam and Origin. So Ubisoft does not actually generate the keys of AC. They just hand the game to EA and VALVE, and each one of them generates their own keys that only work with their own clients (except for what I mentioned about Crysis)
