Yeah, wait. 8600k and 8700k launch in less than 2 weeks with Z370 motherboards. Get an Asus Strix/Maximus or maybe one of the MSI Z370 motherboards and an 8600k or 8700k. Don't get 4GB DIMMs. Get 2x8GB instead, and you don't need to spend that much on RAM.

Anyone got any idea on pricing, don't want to go above £700 for ram/mobo/cpu
thank you

I would wait for the new chips if possible. It doesn't make much sense to build a rig 2 generations behind what's coming out today unless you have specific requirements.

Also what is the main use case for this rig? Gaming? Work? Mining?

gaming and photoshop, However I like playing sim city, and coaster planet and want to get the new total war warhammer game.

Ok yes, waiting does make perfect sense also. I suppose it's just not worth buying those things if you already have 1151 socket.

I have a feeling i5-8600k will be about £250-260 and i7-8700k will be £340-350. You'll definitely be able to get a nice Z370 mobo for £160-180 but you might have to wait a bit for boards in that price range. Manufacturers might release their high end boards first so if you want the system asap, you might have to pay £200 for a mobo. You can get 2x8GB DDR4 for £120-125 easily.
