Hi guys,

finally I'm putting together my new build, I bought all the components and stuff, they've all arrived but the RAM is few days behind schedule.

What can I do while I wait the RAM? Can I test the PC somehow to see if everything is ok, for example checking if the fans turn? Would the PC start up or not?

I've got no RAM sticks to test it :-/ . I'm so pissed, it's all ready but I still have to wait :-/ .

EDIT:

I've turned it on and it is just beautiful, I would have attached a picture of it but the bloody phone is not cooperating xD. Anyway all the fan are working beautifully and most of all nothing exploded in my face xD. Some led on the motherboard lit up, it's probably an error code but I didn't bother to look it up on the manual. It makes me want to go to a freaking shop and buy a RAM stick :-/ .

The computer would turn on without RAM, you'd just wouldn't get it to post.

Currently majoring in computer networking. That's about it yeah. Not much goes on in my life.

msi b350  TOMAHAWK, I've got a Ryzen 7 build, I just wanted to check if everything so far is all right, the PC is ready, missing only the RAM, already done all the visual checking and seems fine.

This is my first build ever so I'm quite pissed I can't test it yet :-/ .

Apart from your build having bad component choice, you have to wait for the RAM

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

This is my first build ever, do you think I can turn it on just to check if the fan turns and stuff? Is that advisable, can I damage anything?

Everything will turn on, the fans should spin, but you'll get an error code and probably some beeping to tell you "Hey you ain't got no RAM!"

Can you believe it? Two weeks I've been waiting for these 2 sticks of RAM, they should have arrived today but they didn't. I was looking for them to test the system during the weekend. I'm so pissed :-/ .

Such is life when buying parts. Relax. Enjoy the outdoors.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Lol there's always one part that shows up late. Funnily enough with my first build, it was the motherboard. At least you were able to put it together :P
