Samsung PM961 from Lenovo, it's good?

RRGT19

Hi,
In a local store are selling a Samsung PM961 but, it says Lenovo on the label. Maybe it had been used on a laptop from Lenovo before?, I don't know...

I had never seen a SSD from a brand with another brand on the label...

The thing is, the M.2 has 1TB and they are selling it at a good price.

It's as good as a "normal" SSD from Samsung?.

As far as I'm aware, the Samsung PM961 is an OEM version of the 960 Evo (Someone may need to confirm this)

yes, it is an OEM version of the 960 series but, the real question is, why it says LENOVO on the label?.

Probably because Lenovo is the OEM of the Computer it came with.

It should fine work without the drivers as long as your motherboard supports nvme drives (Unless you're using a laptop that has a whitelist for components). You might get a speed bump or something of the sorts with the drivers (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3175191/samsung-pm961-drivers.html).
