I'm getting an H80i and it seems like there are a ton of cables to plug in! Do you have to plug in the corsair link stuff to control the led? What exactly does corsair link do?

Corsair link is how you can control and monitor the fans see the temperature and stuff like that. Yes to control the LED, and really there arn't that many cables

Hope I could help!

So I need it to control the led? What is the SATA connector for and I basically want to use only one fan.. so what would plug into the CPU fan connector.. that one fan or the fan connector coming off the pump?

Use the three pin connector for the fan, you plug the mini usb into the pump, it will come with a manual i'm sure for all your questions also

yes, you have to have the link established to chage the color. once the color is

what you want, you can disconnect the USB from the system. link is a monitoring

app to monitor different regions temperatures and also a fan controller to set fan

profile curves.

yes, but can be temporary. the SATA power is to power the pump/controller/ and

fans (if connected). i'd plug the single wire from the pump to the CPU_OPT header

and the fan in the CPU_FAN so the mobo can control the fan and monitor the pump

on the OPT channel.

my motherboard only has one cpu fan header... its itx!  Might just go with the h60

The LED shines white by default if you never plug the USB in. You can also use an external USB port and use a USB to Mini USB cable to set up the H100i. Never tried it but it will probably even work from a different PC.

I heard it shines blue by default? Also, these are my two scenarios, which should I chose?

1. I plug the pump fan header into the cpu fan header and the fan into the case fan header

2. I plug the pump fan header into the case fan header and the fan into the cpu fan header

1 is the better choice.

It's white be default. It goes very slightly yellow over time.

would the fan be at full blast all the time if plugged into the case header?

Depends if it's a PWM fan or not. If you are talking about the stock fan, you can't lower it's RPM with the motherboard as it has no PWM. Unless you have a board with voltage fan control.

I plan on using the default fan or a SP-120 and I have a  Gigabyte GA-87N-WIFI motherboard, I'm not sure. I also don't want to lower it I just don't want it not pushing to its full potential.

Sorry for all the questions but I'm also wondering if you can mount the H80i radiator directly onto the case?

Yes.

You can attach any radiator directly to the case.
