IT clones your entire HDD, although you can choose to exclude media files and the like.

 

Short answer is yes.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Yes it does. But beware: In my case it also copied the same drive letter of the SSD which was assigned by the HDD OS. Windows didn't boot until I used the install cd to change the new OS drive letter to "C" through the command window. Thought it would be done by Samsung software itself, I was wrong. Cloned my OS 3 times until I saw what was wrong...

Could also just change the HDD partition letter after cloning I think, should work.

It can close everything on the drive but nothing that is open so thats where you run into an issue. I suggest you just use something like clonezilla or acronis.

What the...look I just cloned a drive LITERALLY yesterday with the samsung software and it booted just fine, everything was there and accounted for.
