Looking to build a gaming pc. help me out here thanks :)

would like to use my/harvest parts out of a 2012 dell vostro 260

trying to stay in a low budget

 

1. Budget & Location

trying to keep the price low but want to be able to run games like ww2 and pubg on higher settings.

Location U.S.A

 

2. Aim

Gameing, WW2, Pubg, Battlefield, RS

 

3. Monitors

 

so far my plan is only 1 monitor and hopefully at least 1080p 

need recommendations on good/cheap 1080p 24-27" monitor.

 

4. Peripherals

already have.

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

anything is better then my laptop lol

What parts do you have in your dell vostro? and to run PUBG on high you need a 1060 or a rx 580 min.

right now the dell vostro is stock, besides it has an older nvidia graphics card in it, and i think its i5 dont know how my mhz or cores.

We need a set budget that tells us how much you're willing to spend.

Doesn't really give us a lot of options... being a prebuilt, I bet that PSU has a ton of proprietary connectors. The CPU should be good enough although PUBG's optimisation is just iffy.

 

I suggest getting a GTX 1050Ti that doesn't have a PCIe power connector and a SSD if you don't already have one.

so basically i wouldn't need to upgrade my cpu? just the gpu and get an SSD?

It's a second gen i5, right? It should be good enough.

 

For $400, you're not really going to get much... it's just an assumption, but I doubt that prebuilt will give us much options for upgrading due to the likelihood of it having proprietary connectors. But in comparison to building a whole new PC ($400 should only net you a Pentium G4560 with a GTX 1050/Ti), just adding a GTX 1050Ti and a SSD is a much better option.
