hey guys,

wounder if any of you can help, untill today my idle temp of my ROG 8gb strix 1070 idled at 40 degrees, today its now idling at approx 54 Degrees C, with alot of fan activity to keep it at that level. any ideas what this could of caused this sudden spike in idle temp??

(current build is fx-8350, strix gtx-1070, MB msi 970 gaming, hard drive 2tb toshiba 7.2k rpm, with 16 gb of ddr ram,BUT it is getting an upgrade in two days to ryzen 1600x, msi B350 mother board and 16gb DDR4)

did you add new monitors to your setup? Higher refresh rate etc?

ASUS board would've been better IMO, since you could then sync your GPU and Motherboard lights.

also, MSI Ryzen boards are kinda meh in general.

i went off user reviews and limited budget for the new MB, and the 3rd restart seems to be the charm idle seems to be at 43oc (also quick question as i may of had a blonde moment here, would youtube videos ect, increase temp on GPU as and attempt to watch videos to sort problem out may have been exasperating the problem...)
