Tape Casefan ontop off psu to replace noisy fan???

In my system the psu fan is the loudest thing by far i want to replace it. I know i snip the wires and replace with another fan but i dont want to do all that work.

I have 2 casefans running low noise and slow speed. Can i just remove the psu fan, flip the psu facing up and tape one of my casefans ontop of it leaving it run from the motherboard? the air coming out of my psu is cold to the touch. my cpu OC maxes at 48C and my gpu at 65C, so i have some headroom to miss one Casefan.

- Will the psu even power on, or not start cause it senses it has no fan attached?

- Will one casefan cool it enough knowing right now it is cold air coming out of the psu.

- Will it make any accoustic improvement facing it up?

Hope you guys can help me. thx alrdy

Sure why not. Just dont let anything fall into it without a grille covering it. As long as it works. Right?
