Hello,

my Problem is the following:

- I was updating my pc after my vacation -> everything worked fine

- to let windows install updates, i shut the pc down (or hit reboot, i'm not 100% sure)

- when the pc was off i tried to turn it back on, but nothing happened (no lights turn on, no fans start to spin, not even for a few seconds, just as if it had no power)

- i also tried the power-button directly on the mobo

Trouble-shooting steps so far:

- different power cord

- different power plug

How likely is it, that the psu is the problem? Are there any other possible problems?

Specs:

PSU: Antec TruePower 650

Mobo: AsRock Z170 Extreme4

CPU: 6600k

GPU: MSI GTX 970

I have another psu installed in my nas, that I could use to test, but I don't want to take it apart if I dont have to.

Thanks for your help :)

Is the unit turned on? Is there power going to the outlet still? Did you adjust anything in the PC other than what you've told us here?

reset your bios, there is either a pinout where you move a jumper between 3 pins, or a button you can press on the motherboard, but to be 100% sure, unplug the power and turn off the psu, remove the battery and hold the power button down for 30-60 seconds, get a cup of coffee and reconnect the battery and power cable and turn on the psu, does it start now?

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
