Hey I am looking for a new laptop for college and have fallen in love with the surface laptop. I never knew I wanted a screen with a more square aspect ration until I laid my eyes on it. The buildquality is amazing and the keyboard and touchpad are great as well.

But some things are making me hesitant about buying one:

The design team must have had a stroke when choosing the ports

It is not serviceable

The price

So I wanted to ask if you can recommend good alternatives with a bright and high quality display that is preferably not 16:9, that is stylish, has a good combination of ports (sd reader and thunderbolt are appreciated) and has good keyboard and trackpad. The buildquality should also be good so LG gram is out of the question.

Thank you for your answers in advance!

I own the surface book and it is a beautiful machine with a lot of features to like, the only thing I didn't like about the surface computers is the display it is really bad for my eyes. It makes me feel fatigued and heart my eyes and I searched online and a lot of people had the same issue so check the display if it's ok with your eyes go for it, and I don't think you could find a similar option to the surface computers.
