Mountain bike modifications

Hello everyone,

Last year, I had bought a crappy mountain bike that was $70 from some random bike shop that I cant even remember. I have recently been planning a project where I make modifications to my mountain bike on a budget. So, I wanted to put longer bars such as motorbike bars, a whipper snipper engine some where on the frame of my bike, back suspension and front disk brakes. I was wanting to know where to start with this project and where I shoudl start planning  some different recommendations that will help me get started.

Your suggestions are much appreciated!

On a side note: The limit of engine size in my state that is allowed for bike use is 49cc.

I'd suggest by starting to source / gather parts.
I used to have a tricked out mountain bike / bmx in middle school but my dad was the one who modded em for me.

 

Look around on Craigslist/scrap yards to see if you're able to get some parts for little to nothing and go from there. If the bike is crappy, you might be better off selling it and investing into something that you'll like more & going from there.
