r410 Dell

 I have a Dell r410 with a LSI Megaraid 9285-8e, I would like to expand my space with a RAID 6. I am looking at a few ebay Dell MD1200's, I am really lost on two things. 

1) Will my 9285-8e work with the MD1200?

2) One of the MD1200 units have the H800 with it, would that work in the r410?

 

Data sheets and sites seem to be a little sub par with good info. I was hoping this fine group of people might help me not make a few more mistakes in my zombie set up.

Yes it will work.

 

The H800 is for connecting to the host server and for connecting more MD1200 systems to expand the total storage.

 

 

As you can see the IN ports are for connecting to the host server and OUT is for connecting more disk shelves.

On the H800 the r410 is not listed as compatible, I feel like it should not be an issue. I think I might pull the trigger.

Actually sort of misread the post, the included H800 won't actually be required at all. The MD1200 will just connect directly to your 9285-8e.
