Well, if I were to get an SSD, what read/write speeds should I look for to make it worth the cost?

Alright, I was just confused because I thought m.2 used pcie as well.

no they go on a specific slot on the mother board inbetween the gpu and cpu areas normally

an m.2 slot uses either sata or pci-e lanes depending on the ssd, m.2 slot, etc.

@Colexd do you think it's a good idea to get a cheaper SSD from a brand like Team Group, or should I stick with the regular high quality brands?

Stick with the reliable brands: Samsung , Kingston , Seagate ,Intel
