So, just to give you an idea of how bad it is. Before the patch, I could play it on a mixture of High and Ultra settings @1080p and get nice smooth gameplay. I could get on to servers (although none were very stable: If one guy used a silencer, the server was muted)

After the patch, It's choppy on medium settings. I thought maybe my GPU was at an unstable overclock, so I ran it @stock, still no change. Now I can't join any servers at all.

Anything I can do except wait for EA to release an update?

It's DICE that needs to patch it, I'm sure their hands are full working on the DLC's. I doubt it'll be fixed anytime soon.

Why would they allocate their resources to the DLC's rather than actually making the game work for what I'm sure is at least half it's players. It doesn't make sense to me. They skimped on Quality testing and now they're paying the price: A lot of players can't play the game. Offering double XP isn't much of an incentive when you can't get on a server to earn it in the first place.

Is anyone else having these kinds of issues?

I can play but I crash occasionally. They allocate their resources to the DLC's because they have to keep premium players happy + it gives them more money. That's what it is all about at the end of the day, EA and money.

Seems like you have been in a cave lately. DICE released news that they focus on fixing game for now. First DLC is pretty much ready to launch on this point. I know that since it takes two weeks from Sony and Microsoft to give it green light for console release.

For OP, I haven't had any major issues. Some minor lag on servers and sound issues which will be fixed on patch. Update to latest beta drivers for gpu if haven't done already and check if pb has updates. those usually do the trick.

The game being terrible at launch is EA's fault, DICE wasn't ready for the game to be published but EA forced it out anyway. I wish EA would just push it back to 11/29 and give us a PLAYABLE GAME.

A man of charm with strange quarks.
