Just got a new phone charger. It features one of the stiffer braided cables, so not only is it all twisted up from when it was folded in the box, but it is hard to un-twist it. I don't really know how to explain what my cable looks like very well, so I have a picture below, but how can I straighten this out? An ugly cable drives me crazy.

Putting the cable (not the ends) in hot water for a while and then coiling it up usually helps train the cable to be less dumb

Any other way? I just don't wanna accidentally ruin the cable or electrocute myself

I usually go with a cable spiral like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Flexible-Spiral-Computer-Manage/dp/B01NAAKUN4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1503694155&sr=8-3&keywords=cable+spiral

Doesn't fix it but hides the ugly truth. ;)
