Hello! I need some advice. I currently have a 1700x, and I am looking to add a GTX 1080 maybe a 1080ti if I can find a great deal. But I have been REALLY torn on what to do for cooling, when I used the EK configurator it totaled to $500 ish. That is a little too much for my blood. While I know that you get what you pay for. I am not going to try and build a $50 kit, and have it risk damaging items. I would love to hear other brands that keep it in the $250-$300 range if possible. I would do soft tube, and I have the thermaltake p3 case

OR

My other idea was doing a couple aio kits. I have 3 x 120mm mounts in the p3. I have been thinking about doing a 240mm AIO for the CPU, and then a 120mm hybrid for the GPU. But I am kinda stuck on that also. I will overclock the most I can with the CPU, 70% of the usage with my computer is encoding with handbrake, and 30% gaming. I normally dont tweak my GPU as much, if at all. Would I notice a temp difference between a 360mm AIO for the CPU, and leave the GPU on its air. OR would it be better for me to make the CPU a 240mm AIO and give the GPU a 120mm AIO also?

I am thinking the 360mm would be overkill just for a cpu, but I will try to push it as much as I can stable, while I am not really going to do anything with the GPU

Thank you so much!

My personal opinion, and I'm no expert by any means, is that you'd just get a much better experience out of something like an Kraken X62

Once you start costing up a custom loop, no matter how you decide to do it, it all just starts adding up. Even adding decent fans to your radiators bumps the cost up.

Doubt you'll be happy with something you can buy for $300, or at least in the UK, that buys you nothing.
