Ok so I am building a gaming pc and I found this motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6

fot 75 and if I get a intel or amd board and the CPU is compatbile I get $35 off but I don't know if the intel i5 7th would be better than putting a Ryzen on?

help

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding what you were asking, but I'll give you a response based on what I think you are trying to ask.

I would suggest that you grab a Ryzen CPU rather than an Intel. They are cheaper and perform well in comparison to their Intel counterpart.

R5 would be better over an i5, get a cheap B250 with that.

But that board had SLI and it's cheap with rebate and $35 off but it's got 3 graphics card slots so I can run multiple Gtx 1050 Ti

You cant SLI the 1050ti, not 3 way with any card with Z270 (Need 8x for SLI). Do you need 3 for anything else? Doesnt the rebate also apply to AMD boards?

You're kind of defeating the purpose of this thread. It seems you've already made up on your mind about going with Intel. If your plan is to run multiple graphics cards in SLI, and the Ryzen board you selected does not have it as an option, go with an Intel board.

Yes, would be better overall than an i5.

Ryzen is a great all-around performer, while Intel performs very well with gaming. In most cases, the CPU choices (Intel vs. Ryzen) you make will not drastically affect frame rate, and definitely, will not influence the performance of a 1050 Ti.

The i5 will not bottleneck the 1050 Ti. It is not a very powerful card. You can go up to a 1080 Ti before seeing any bottlenecking.

This is very reliant on the games you are trying to play. Could you give me some examples?
