I am planning on buying all my parts on Cyber Monday, so i wanted to go ahead and post a topic. I planned and very closely thought out what i was going to buy and these are the parts I finally came up with:

 

CPU: AMD FX-6300 ($120)

 

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($70)

 

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($73)

 

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($55)

 

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($145)

 

Case: NZXT Source 220 ATX Mid Tower Case ($50)

 

Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($50)

 

Total: $563

Yes, I could spend a little more, but i am aiming for $600

For $10 more should i get a FX-8320 or stick with the FX-6300?

Yeah if you want to go for the 8320 but the 6300 is a fine chip anyways so it doesn't really matter. If you feel it's worth it go for it, especially with more multi threaded game engines coming and with mantle.

Well they definitely run hotter than intel parts with that TDP of theirs. It doesn't seem like your planning on overclocking because you're using a stock cooler so you'll be fine. Just don't touch voltages until you put that chip under an h100i or an NH D14 or something along those lines.

They definitely run cooler, max core temp is 65*C.

Thanks for your help :D I'm going to buy the FX 8320 instead of the FX 6300 and everything else will stay the same
