Hey there everyone, I just bought Battlefield 4 2 days ago on a black Friday sale and am having some issues with the multiplayer (haven't tried campaign yet).

So, I am able to start up the game just like normal and am also able to join a mulitplayer server as well, but after about a minute of playing the game will get REALLY choppy and my frames plummet. Then after a few seconds of choppy frames, the game will go black with the little loading thing( that white, glitchy square) and then the game crashes to battlelog. I've tried to use both the regular launcher and the 64-bit one as  well without any luck. I'm almost positive that it isn't my hardware as its quite up to snuff, and I even tried to use the recommended settings in Geforce experience to no avail. Also I made sure that I have the latest Nvidia drivers from Geforce experience. Please Help and Thank you!

Here are my specs:

CPU: 3570k @ 4.2

GPU: 660 Ti SLI

Ram: 4GB Corsair vengeance

Mobo: MSI z77a-g45

anything else should be in my sig.

Your ram is overflowing, 4gb is not enough, 6gb isnt enough. BF4 uses 5gb of ram for me, im not sure about others, maybe try to force it onto 32bit as that caps it to 4gb.

It could also just be the game, happens to me a lot, I thought it was my super aggressive overclock, but even now that I have toned it down (1267mhz on my 680) this still happens about once every three games.

¸Geforce experience fails.

It recommanded me settings that would surpass my 2 Gb Vram.

anyways I have my own preferences.

PC master race does not need such.

I agree, I just thought I would give it a shot.

Yeah, it's actually usefull to a certain degree.

The exemples complete the lack of visual explanation in nvidia contorl panel. By, The time I got my nvidia card I learned most of them trough AMD's Catalyst

Ow, did you check if there was a ram bottleneck? is that a single channel or dual channel config?

use task manager to verify Ram Q. usage

for the bandwith, I don't know of any software to verify such.

Ok, so I got the Ram and am now up to 12GB and got the latest update for the game, yet I still can't play for more than 2 1/2 minutes before the game crashes.

Then I decided to try and run the game with SLI disabled and it still crashes. Any other ideas?

I think it might just be the game at this point though.

i see you got the extra memory, how much hard drive space do you have for your virtual memory,

or do you have a SSD?

well, I have my OS on my SSD and the game itself is on my 500gb HDD. not sure if that answered your question.
