Laptop not booting

Go to solution Solved by Lifter-X79,

Well, it finally booted. I didn't do anything in particular. I should really get a new laptop.

My Dell Inspiron N7010 laptop is not booting properly. When I turn it on I get the first Dell splashscreen with the progress bar and the options F2 for setup, F12 for boot options. No matter what function key I press the progress bar completes and then nothing. I tried pulling the battery out and holding the power button for a minute. I have tried all the function keys. Currently I am just letting it sit powered off to see if it wants to stop being temperamental.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

have your tried spamming the f2 key ( i often have to) or allowing it time after the bar completes

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home. I'm also going to try connecting it to an external monitor to see if that helps.
