Hello, everyone. I am a long time console pleb looking to buy my first gaming pc, as gaming on the old X-Bone has gotten old. As this will be my first pc, I do not have any peripherals, so they will have to be incorporated into the budget, along with Windows 10. I think total, I would be willing to spend about 1,000 USD. I would like to use this system as a pure gaming machine, able to run some of the latest games at a reasonable quality, and I will only be using one monitor. I have done some research on pc building, such as the LinusTechTips youtube, and have been looking at the pc master race subreddit, where I found one build, the Exterminator, that looked like it could be the right one for me. I put those base components into a pcpartpicker list, and then filled in the gaps, such as the peripherals and other components I think I'll need, which can be found at: pcpartpicker.com/list/rdvQJV . My two basic questions are: does this build look as if it will suit my needs, and is it complete enough for me to begin looking at purchasing the components? Any advice would be appreciated, as I am simply looking for a second opinion before I make a final decision on purchasing it.

ditch the cooler and try to get a r5 1600, it comes included with a cooler that also allows a moderate overclock.

try to get a used 980/980ti or go for a used 1060 6gb/rx480/rx580. also no real need for the fans, as the case comes with 2 already.

and try your best to get an ssd (128GB-250GB) in there, it really does a lot to the experience

It looks good to me, can save a couple of dollars by buying a windows key instead of a retail box and using a spare PC to make a bootable windows 10 installation USB

really consider spending $50 or so more on a SSD just for windows, makes everything MUCH faster.

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
