Hi all i'm relatively new to building PC's but i've spent the better part of the last month trying to plan out some upgrades for my old rig that my brother made me when I was still a kid over a decade ago.

[My Current Build]

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU         750  @ 2.67GHz, 2661 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
2x 4GB DDR2 Kingston Ram sticks

An old MoBo

1TB HDD

256GB SSD

And an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

I'm budgeting around $800 USD for the upgrade and have been looking into getting a ryzen 1600x for the CPU

and crammin 2 760 ti's in SLI but after looking more into it i'm not so sure anymore.

I really am just planning on using this to continue playing some more current games at higher settings like Player Unknown as well as Pray, Wolfenstein 2, and FFXIV at a high fidelity 1080p.

Sorry for the poor formatting in advance and any help would be great thank you all in advance.

@herman mcpootis

Remember to quote so we can reply easily. Dont bother with 2 760s, just get a 1060/RX 580 for 1080p.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Even 1440p on mid range games

Yes, they would be better to buy, they can still do games med fine. Look at Vega 56 or a 1070 if you want high settings/max)

How is this.

I have a 500 Watt power supply already so I don't think I need a new one unless the PS is something you wanna swap out from build to build.
Also I am putting a 1070 on the list but I am going to also shoot for a vega 56 whenever those get put out. Knowing how fast the 64's sold out today though i aint holdin my breath
