OpenVPN DHCP?

So I created a VPN server on my Raspberry Pi 3 and the IP address it's assigning start in 10.0.8.x I want to change it to a different IP network. How do I do it?

Change the server in the server.conf

Remember to do it everywhere and after ofc restart for it to take affect.

But there is a massive Wiki and FAQ for it. Not to be that guy, but do some research yourself first  (and yeah, i am being that guy  )

Tried changing it. Now I can't access the internet when I connect via the VPN and i can't access it via SSH.

Well, is the computer you are trying to ssh with in the same subnet you changed it too?

What did you change in the config file? did you add a route to the gateway? or just changed the server ip?

I changed it back to the default. It's working. I don't want to mess with it again.

Better yet, i take it you want to access another subnet from the vpn right? if so a simple route to that network would work

something like

 

route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
push "route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0"

That is correct I want to able to connect to my 172.16.105.x network which is on the LAN side of the pfsense box. Here's a diagram of the network:

In that file i saw quickly there is already an entry for the local network, just change that

I want access both 192.168.1.0 and 172.16.105.0 networks..

 

Do I add 172.16.105.0 to the route as well?

according to your schematic that should be handled by the pfsense box.

 

Might be incorrect tho, also why didn't you setup the openvpn on the fp box?

I tried it and it didn't work.
