Can't find files

I downloaded some image files a while ago and now I have no idea where they are, I remember I saved them to a specific folder and I didn't rename them so they are just a bunch of numbers. I looked in the folder obviously and they are not there, and they are not in downloads or pictures. And also I can't find them under downloads in my browser. Is there any way I can go back and look at my downloads within Windows from a certain date or something?

search all drives for pictures like "*.JPG" or "*.PNG" and sort by modify date.

Maybe that helps you out.
