Pls help. power line adapter

I just bought a power line adapter (hootoo) and i plug in the router to the first one and then the second one to the computer. The 3 green lights are turned on and it says it works perfectly but there is a red x on my connection. Please help. Also I don't have wireless card and i can't run a 50ft cable through my house

Mouse over the connection and tell us what it says the problem is.

yes, LAN 1 is light up

Have you tried rebooting your router?

turning it on and off? Yes

Go to control panel/network and internet/network and sharing center/change adapter settings and tell us what you see.

It says this folder is empty, basically nothing shows up

No. I went where you told me to, its just that my windows is in spanish (and i can't fucking change it without internet) and im trying to translate what it says

Also I just moved my whole setup to the router and tried to connect it straight up from the router (no power line adapter) and it still said no connections detected or whatever it says. Is it a problem with my motherboard, windows or my router?

Do you have network drivers installed?

No, and I cant install them because I dont have internet. It also says that te driver is unkown... How do I know which driver to install?

Well that's your problem... Use another computer to get the drivers from your mobo manufacturer's website and put it on a usb drive.
