Crashing when plugging in multiple monitors

I have a gt 980 sc and whenever i connect more than 1 monitors nvidia decides to crash. It just black screens and then the nvidia share has stopped working popup comes along. I have tried disabling nvidia share because that is what is says is crashing but that does not work either.
