I have a HDD now and want to add a SSD later

Hey i have a question. Lets say i have 2tb HDD and i have games on it and all my stuff already in my pc. What if i buy a new SSD and want to use it as boot device. Is it possible to keep my data on my HDD and just add the SSD as my new boot device?

you can just install the OS on the new boot device and set the boot prio in BIOS.
