Problems when using file manager

im having problems with my computer slowing down and nearly crashing every time i do some file manager relted task, such as downloading Pdf's or small files or simply by opening it (the manager), i have a new Compaq laptop (less than a year old), with a  core i7 6500U, 4 GB of ram DDR3 i think, and 1 TB HDD, i dont know if it is just the HDD having problems with file managing or some kind of malware, the model of the laptop is Compaq 21-N121AR, only sold in Argentina i think, if someone has any idea what is going on, ill be very thankfull if you could help me

 

Ps: sorry if there is some mispelling english is my second lenguage
