What I would do is try to identify which of your two sticks is acting goofy.  Shut down the system, remove one stick of ram, reboot the system and then run MemTest86 again.  Process of elimination.  If you don't get the error this time, then the problem stick must be the one you removed since you only have 2 x 4 sticks.  Just to be sure, shut down the system, remove the stick in the system and replace it with the one you removed and then run the test again.  If you get the problem with the second stick, there ya go.  Problem identified.  Now what you do with it after identifying the problem stick is an entirely different situation.  Good Luck.

Well I thought that but here is part of my original post . I just reinstalled windows but Ive gotten 1 bsod memory_management so my my mind goes straight to ram . Which I think has something to do with it but its strange, when I try to boot my system from being off for awhile it doesnt boot right off it does the the same as when you take the ram out so I thought ok maybe a stick is bad so I take out one stick put in a 1gb + one of the 4gb sticks that was already in it and boots no problem, but it does the same with both sticks. So I said I will just put both original 4gb sticks in another pc well it didnt boot either but when I take one out it boots but it doesnt matter which one you take out . I don't know if its a compatibility issue of my ram with my specific motherboard or what it is but I know that I'm really confused ,but after repetitively turning on and off the pc a few times it will boot I'm actually typing this on it . Is all of my ram completlely bad???

When you try your test, don't insert any other ram than the 4Gb sticks.  Your just adding to the confusion when you add the 1Gb stick.  Is the ram that you are using on the motherboard Quality Vendors List (QVL)?  And when you put your ram in the system, are you putting the sticks in the paired ram slots?  Don't put them in slots 1 and 2.  Try putting them in slots 1 and 3, or, slots 2 and 4.

What OS are you using?  The Asus website says that board is Windows 8 Ready.  Are you using Win8?..  Also, curious about the BIOS.  Your MemTest page says the BIOS you are using is dated 12/15/2015.  Is this the latest BIOS for that board?

If the board is a couple of years old, you might want to consider buying a new battery for the CMOS.  It is a standard 2032 and you can get them just about anywhere that sells batteries for cameras and stuff.  If you do get a new battery, don't forget to look at the way it fits in the slot for the positive/negative polarity.  If the machine does not boot all the way into Windows, can you get into the BIOS and if so, does the correct memory values show up in the BIOS?  Remember, if that battery goes dead, then your system will not remember any hardware settings contained in the BIOS.

I am using windows 10 it boots fine after trying to turn on and off a bunch of times its odd I just finished the test and it appears that when I did my second stick it it the only one that got errors on test six which was the one I got errors on . I am going to leave the"bad" stick out for an hour or 2 and turn the pc off and come back to it later to see if it boots right away then I will know my problem. Sometimes when you boot it will say 3.9gb instead of 7.9 so maybe This stick is intermittently bad.I will use another battery from another pc later to see if that helps but I will change only one possible factor at a time. Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the late reply, took a break to watch the new Kong: Skull Island movie.  So you let it sit for an hour with just the one stick in it but didn't boot.  Did you try the same thing with the other stick?  Is there a possibility that you could try the memory sticks in a different machine to see if the same errors occur with it?  If the ram works okay in a different machine, the possibility then would be there is a problem with your motherboard.  How about the possibility of trying to get your hands on some known working ram, say, from a different machine?  Maybe from a friend?  Just long enough to do some follow up tests to isolate the problem.  Crappers, just about out of ideas.

So I'm not sure if this helps but seems when I add the 18gb stick and the good 48gb stick it boots right up but it has been saying overclock failed when it does, boot which just resets my cpu overclock. I had set ram speed manual to 1333 instead of normal auto.I do have another system and I have another 4gb stick that is 1600mhz here is a photo of when it booted right off when I put the 1gb stick in it as well . You will notice it recognizes both but only is using the 1gb.but when I booted into windows its using all 5gb??
