windows recovery problems

i have a msi laptop and the hard drive died so i have put in a new one but windows recovery doesn't work this is wat i get: there are no drives found that can be used to recover the system drive  0x80042412

 

anybody know what i should do?

If the drive will all your data dies theres nothing you can do in terms of recovering lost data. You would have to take the drive to somebody that recovers data. and that can be costly. but if its nothing important then there is not much point. The only other alternative is to reinstall windows.

the firt drive is dead i put in a second and have a windows recovery on a other drive but that won't work

Windows Recovery is meant to repair the OS if something breaks, not recover files.
