A few weeks ago I bought an ASUS GTX 1060 6gb to replace my old 960 4gb. Installation was easy and fun, and everything worked well for the first few days. Now, whenever I open GPU Tweak the fans on my card go to max speed and display from the card cuts out, although all other components of my computer stay active and running(ex. My microphone input still works and I can still hear everything). My GPU tends to get very hot very quickly and the stock fan settings don't keep it cool enough to not let the GPU crash after a couple hours of gaming. Any insight into why this would be is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Hopalongcassidy

It could be that the software isn't working right or you set a bad overclock using it. Try using msi afterburner. also, what temps are you hitting

Around 75 by the 2 hour mark in Overwatch, a little hotter on PUBG. I haven't touched any OC controls aside from fan speeds. Will MSI afterburner work with an ASUS card?

MSI afterburner works with any graphics card.

MSI afterburner will work with any graphics card, also, 75 degrees is a safe operating tempurature. If you want cooler, you will have to make your fans run faster and louder.
