3930K Upgrade

I'm having a really hard time choosing what to upgrade from my existing Core i7 3930K running at 4.5Ghz and 16GB of DDR3 1866MHz RAM to.

The contenders are:

i7 7820X and an x299 board (currently I think I'd go with the X299 Mark I)

Ryzen 7 1700X and Crosshair VI Hero or the new VI Extreme

i7 7700K and Maximus IX Code

And maybe something from AMD X399 lineup

I use my PC mainly for gaming @ 1440p 144Hz. If I used it only for that I'd probably choose the 7700K because it's the best gaming CPU as far as I know. But the problem is that I also stream, edit photos and videos, and multitask like crazy (a bilion chrome tabs, a metric buttload of apps in the background and usually a game on top of it). And that's when the 1700X and 7820X come to play. One way cheaper 8 core and one more expensive 8 core with quad channel memory more lanes and so on.

Honestly I'd go with the 1700X but its single core performance is basically the same or worse as my 3930K, and let's be real 4Ghz max overclock is not rly considered by me as a good overclock.

On the other corner of the ring is the 7820X which is basically a direct succesor to my 3930K but costs a lot more than a 1700X for not that much of a multi core performance advantage.

No matter what I'll buy It'll be running with 32GB of GSkill Trident Z RAM (4x8GB) cooled by Corsair H115i and a GTX 980Ti Gaming 6G (will upgrade to 1180Ti 1280Ti 2080Ti whatever they'll call it)
