Diy home server

Hey guys I need some recommendations on hardware for a home server. Well 2 of them, my plan is to have them backing up to each other. Now the first one will have to have really fast local and external access and be able to backup a pc.

 

the second, my one will be a little bit more beffy, local and external access, stream media (plex) host game servers and a few vms.

 

i dought ecc memory will be needed because of the fact the servers will offsite backup to each other.

budget: it's not how much do I want to spend, it's how much I need to spend.

 

storge: expandability I need a lot of expandibility in both systems
