So, this is my current build. I travel between countries frequently that's why I built a mini-itx machine.

I want to move into 4k gaming but still want to keep some of the parts from the previous build. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ahsan041/saved/#view=Gtm4D3

After I get the cpu, I will check to see if the temps are actually that bad with this cooler. I won't be overclocking it right now and I don't mind the temps hitting 90C. Intel's website set the max temp at 100C. I am not interested in overclocking the gpu either.

Speaking of the gpu, I will probably wait and see how vega turns out and then make my decision.

Now my main concern is whether I should change the psu. Pcpartpicker says it's okay because the total setup is shy of only 30 of the 450watt. I would love to hear what u guys think.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Thank you.

Edit: This build is only for travel purposes. I will build the same system in a different case with better cooling option. And I said I travel frequently, I only actually do it twice, tops. Sorry for the confusion.

don't bother with a 7700K, get the regular 7700 because you have a locked board and won't be doing much overclocking in that case.

PSU will probably be just barely enough since you won't overclock the GPU.

I know what you mean. I might want to overclock it in the near future. If I get a good deal on the ,mobo and the psu, I just might change it. Afterall, the parts are only 3 months old, with the cpu, mobo and ram having store warranty.

no point, overclocking in that case with that cooler will be horrible anyway.

if you want some longer lifetime components swap over to a Ryzen 7 1700 or a R5 1600 and a B350 mobo

I will point this out in my main post. I will build the same system on 2 cases at different times. I will only use the node 202 when i am travelling for a couple of months. In the other case, where I will be gaming the most, I will have better cooling anyways.

You don't need to upgrade, all the parts will be fine for 4K (You just need to lower the settings a bit).

Once the 1070 becomes obsolete at 4K, you would have far better options for the GPU.

I didn't want to mention this in the original post, but I got some cash as a birthday gift which should cover for the 1080ti after selling the 1070, so why not

It doesn't look like an upgrade is necessary really just yet. Go for 4K now and consider doing it later, your system is that weak.
